Transit Riders Speak Their Minds

NEW YORK, NY July 23, 2008 —The Metropolitan Transportation Authority hasn't even formally proposed a fare hike, but plenty of people are talking about it. WNYC caught a number of them at the West 4th Street subway station in Manhattan yesterday, after the news broke that the transit agency wants to raise tolls and fares by eight percent next summer.
