The Metropolis Ensemble
Andrew Cyr conducts The Metropolis Ensemble in Ricardo Romaneiro's "Two-Part Belief" with soprano Hila Plitmann, followed by "The Rite: Remixed," a new take on Stravinky's "The Rite of Spring" by Ricardo Romaneiro and Ryan Francis with Leo Leite.
Intermission Interviews
Host David Garland talks with Wordless Music creator Ronen Givony. Then, conductor Andrew Cyr along with composers Ricardo Romaneiro and Ryan Francis discuss their electronic take on Stravinsky, "The Rite: Remixed." Also, members of Deerhoof weigh in, including Greg Saunier — who talks about his own experience with Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring," and how Stravinsky's style has influenced the music of Deerhoof.

This year's annual Mostly Mozart Festival at Lincoln Center is rife with sounds stretching the spectrum of Requiems, Metamorphoses, and Passions — including the American premiere of composer-in-residence Kaija Saariaho's tale of the sufferings of French mystic Simone Weil, who died of starvation in protest to the Nazi occupation of Paris in 1943.
