Michael Jacobson, a former Commissioner of the New York City Departments of Correction and Probation, tells us why he thinks that the current prison system is failing to reduce crime or increase safety in Downsizing Prisons.

Wanda Jackson earned the title Queen of Rockabilly in the 1950s. Now she’s teamed up with alt-country artist Rosie Flores. They tell us about tonight’s performance as part of Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing series.

Knuffle Bunny
Mo Willems is the author of several well-loved children’s books. He’s also a six-time Emmy Award-winning writer and animator for Sesame Street. He tells us about his latest book, a foray into a toddler’s harrowing trip to the Laundromat with her father, Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale.
Children Playing Before a Statue of Hercules
David Sedaris tells us about a new collection of his favorite short stories—those that have inspired him as a writer. He’s joined by Lorrie Moore, whose short story "People Like That Are the Only People Here: Canonical Babbling in Peed Onk" is included in Children Playing Before a Statue of Hercules.
