Clothing Optional

Thursday, November 20, 2008

Former SNL writer and Thurber Prize winner Alan Zweibel’s new collection of stories and essays, Clothing Optional, finds the humor in awkward moments at a nudist resort, being beaten in a marathon by a polar bear, and confrontations with fans.

Alan Zwibel was at SNL when it was GREAT.

Today SNL is always disappointing. The current cast is very good - especially Fred Armisen - but the writing is AWFUL.

Generally the celebrity host is someone I have never heard of.

The musicical guests are also, like the current cast, very talented, but suffer from poor writing of music.
